Swizz Beatz x Alicia Keys...according to RapRadar.com

Hate to be the bearer of bad news fellas, but according to the NY Daily News, Swizzy's got Alicia under like and key.

"Swizz tells us that, yes, he's in love with Keys and, yes, she did give him a birthday party at that museum. 'But we're nowhere near ready for a baby or a ring,' laughs Swizz, aka Kasseem Dean. 'This whole song is not about Alicia. The part about her cooking breakfast for me naked — she never done that for me...What we have is so precious."

Secret battle with Cool J & Hov?

Former entertainment lawyer turned author and part-time blogger, Reggie Ossé, shared in his blog today stories of a long ago “secret war” between LL Cool J and Jay-Z [click here]. The blog, called Combat Jack With Today’s Mathematics, recounts Damon Dash and DJ Clark Kent’s efforts to provoke a Rap battle between the then '90s king, LL, and the relatively unknown rookie rapper, Jay-Z.

“[Dame and Clark] figured if Jay was known as the dude that kilt LL in battle, record labels would take note and give him that much sought after deal,” wrote Ossé. “Dame and Clark had the plan laid out, whenever LL was spotted by either of them, they would page each other and Jay and get him to meet at whatever location LL was. This went on a couple of times. Once contacted, Jay would roll up to the club, bar or whatever venue and lay in the cut, waiting for his opportunity to attack LL in battle. Dame would polly with, then taunt LL about how Jay was nicer than him, was ready to take his spot even. LL's ego would result in him agreeing to go head to head against the young and then unknown challenger.”

At the time (circa 1992) LL had found success with his Grammy-winning album Mama Said Knock You Out, and was known as the king of battle Rap. However, as Ossé tells it, LL had lost those secret battles with Jay-Z.

“Dame and Clark would end up in my office the following day, laughing about how Jay lit that ass up. Every time too. They was a bit sour too, cause after each battle, LL would kill the vibe, crush Jay's high by flinging the ‘Yo, my next record is dropping next month, uhm, when's yours coming out again, scrap?’ line at him. Jay, Dame and Clark didn't like that shit. Not one bit. I'm betting those battles are the reason LL is still kinda aggie towards Jay.”

Between 2006 and 2008, Jay-Z's presidency at Def Jam Records resulted in a public disapproval from veteran artist LL Cool J, who felt that his career and projects were mishandled, despite deing an artist since 1985 for the label.

Jadakiss shares Hov's advice

Kiss recalling some advice Hov gave him once, during this bonus footage from The Next 48 Hours w/ Jadakiss video series that was put on by AllHipHop & JumpOffTV. And if you haven’t already heard, Jada wants Kanye & Cam’ron on the Who’s Real (rmx). Oh yes! He’s also planning his next album…

I’m definitely going back in. The D-Block album is wrapped up. I’ma make sure we finish this LOX album, and I’m coming right back at the end of the year. I think I’m gonna call it Top Five, Dead or Alive. I’m only gonna work with Premo [DJ Premier], Alchemist, Swizz Beatz, Dame Grease, shit like that. Have a couple of South [producers], and that’s it. Wham!”

Twista dispells pregnant Pinky rumors...

Twista addressed a report this week, clearing the air about rumors that he inpregnanted pornstar Pinky.

The Chicago rapper, via a statement, said that he has never been sexually intimate with the adult film star, and the rumors are completely untrue.

"I want to inform everyone that not only is Pinky NOT PREGNANT by me, but I've never had any type of sexual encounters with her," Twista said. "I ain't mad at her, but thanks for promoting my new album, Category F5, which will be out in July."

According to Twista's rep, he's happily in relationship, but did not reveal his significant other's identity. The rapper chose to address the rumor because he doesn't want to hurt his close family and friends, which he cherishes.

"I have the best fans ever and I ask that you respect them and my loved ones," he said.

In other Twista news, he is gearing up for the release of his eighth studio album, Category F5. The album's first single is "Wetter."

T.I. only to do 2 months in jail....

^^^^^ That's a sharp ass blazer T.I. is sport'n in this photo by the way,lol...ok, to the news....

So it’s being reported that Tip will likely only do two months in an Arkansas state prison. It seems he’s being credited for 305 days of home detention, so if you do the math you know he’ll be in and out in no time at all.

Money makes the world go round people!

Us regular folk would have NEVER seen the light of day again. I’ve seen people get more time for speeding! I mean hell Michael Vick got more time for fighting dogs.

He’s been telling us for years, but it looks like T.I. is really a King!

Sorry Mike, better luck next time.

But if Tip is only doing two months then what the hell were we saying farewell for? Two months ain’t nothing!

File-sharing only makes big acts bigger, study shows

The era of file-sharing has not increased the exposure of new artists, according to a new study.

According to a study commissioned by royalties body PRS, the most-pirated tracks on the internet tend to be those already at the top of the charts. The organisation claims that this trend only serves to make popular stars even more popular, reports BBC News

The news seemingly strikes a blow to those who believed that file-sharing would democratise music and find a bigger audience for emerging new artists.

Study authors Will Page of PRS and Eric Garland of media tracking firm Big Champagne looked at patterns to find out of the so-called 'Long Tail' theory held water.

As they described it, 'Long Tail' claims that "if you offer people more choice, and help them make that choice, they will take that choice."

But their results found this not to be the case. They wrote: "Much of the volume (sales or swaps) is concentrated amongst a small proportion of available tracks."

They believe this has happened because the internet actually offers too much choice, and concluded: "After taking into account some geographic differences, the top of the many music charts, from licensed and unlicensed venues, are markedly similar."

Twista gets Pinky pregnant?

Porn star actress Pinky, Internet sensation and a hip-hop favorite for her booty clapping videos and past interview quoting 50 Cent as a rapper she would like to do a porn video with, among other things, may be pregnant and guess who may be the ‘baby’s daddy?’ Rapper Twista?! Yes, the Chicago rapper is rumored to have gotten Pinky, a California native, impregnated.

Pinky, known for her pink hair, curvaceous body and figure, big butt, and infamous lesbian scenes full of toy action posted all across the Internet was supposedly involved in some type of personal relationship with the rapper which, through an alleged sexual encounter, led to a possible pregnancy.

Rumors has it that the porn star actress was crying at a recent Core DJ’s Retreat which sources close to Pinky revealed, and this may have had something to do with rapper Twista.

As of yet, there has been no comment or official statement from Pinky nor Twista regarding the rumors of her pregnancy and/or her relationship with Twista.

In other news, rapper Twista is prepping for the release of his eighth studio album “Category F5” slated for release on June 16, 2009 featuring the rapper’s first single “Wetter.”

Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy & Drake tour in the works

Canadian rapper Drake announced to MuchMusic that there’s a massive late-summer tour in the works that will see him join three of hip-hop’s greats on stage.
“God willing, if everything goes according to plan and everybody’s schedule is in place, then I will be on tour with some amazing people,” Drake said. “One of them being Jay-Z, one of them being Lil Wayne, one of them being Young Jeezy and one of them being me.”

T.I. to report to jail on May 26th, 2009

T.I. is scheduled to turn himself in for his one year and one day jail sentence, a week later than expected.

TMZ has learned that Tip will be reporting to a low security prison in Forrest City Arkansas on May 26 and he will not be receiving any special treatment. He is set to be a part of the general population, where he will be assigned to work detail with 1,500 other inmates.

The Atlanta rap giant is most likely to be serving ten months behind bars for his federal gun charges. He was arrested in October 2007, just four hours before he was scheduled to appear at the BET Awards

Racist ass Cop convo caught on tape....dumb ass!

Deputy resigned after using profanity, racial slurs during cell phone conversation caught on dash cam

October 2, 2008 (Augusta) - On July 2th Deputy Wesley Powell made a traffic stop.
It was recorded by the dash cam in the patrol car and investigators say the stop is handled perfectly and by the book.

However, seconds after Powell gets back in his patrol car things take a turn.

According to a disciplinary report Powell leaves the camera on and the microphone inside the vehicle is still More.. on when he gets a call on his cell phone. Powell’s side of the conversation is recorded.

Here he describes a traffic stop he made involving an African American woman.

Powell: “I got this girl the other day. She had a d*** little n***** in the backseat.
This thing wasn’t even old enough to crawl yet. I know she didn’t have seatbelt on neither.

I was going to give her a verbal warning you know, strap that monkey in the backseat.
You got a booster seat back there, put that monkey in the booster seat.

On the tape Powell uses profanity, racial slurs and makes sexual comments.

Powell: “Not only am I going to sexually assault her. I’m going f*** her with the d*** barrel of my d*** glock.”

The conversation was discovered on September 16th by the solicitor’s office when the DVD was being played by a defense attorney looking for a traffic stop made that day.

The DVD was then brought to the attention of the Sheriff’s office and then to Internal affairs.

The entire conversation lasts 15 minutes.

Powell: “If you hadn’t been out here running your ignorant a** Mouth you’d been on your way to wherever the f*** you’re going to buy your crack, have another baby by an illegitimate father or some other kind of sh**.”

In 2003 Powell had been disciplined for making a racist statement to an inmate. He was suspended for a day.

The 30-year-old resigned before Internal Affairs could take the recording to a review board.

Powell: “How you doing a**hole. How much of a fine do ya’ll want today?”
